The Leo Jansen Prize is awarded to the author(s) of the best paper presented at the EESD conference. It honours the memory of Leo Jansen, one of the founding figures of the EESD series, whose work exemplified academic excellence, deep commitment to sustainability, and a belief in the transformative power of engineering education.
The prize includes free registration for the next EESD conference and the opportunity to deliver the Leo Jansen Prize Lecture as part of the opening plenary.
We invite you to learn more about Leo Jansen’s life, influence, and legacy in this tribute article published in The International Journal of Cultural Policy.
A Best Student Paper Award will also be presented to recognise exceptional contributions by students (undergraduate or graduate) to the field of Engineering Education for Sustainable Development. To be eligible, papers must be flagged as Student Paper during submission, with a student identified as lead or co-author.
